Our Founder

Quiana Malone wears many hats—Founder, CEO, Philanthropist, Author—but the title she holds closest is Community Servant. Fierce, faith-filled, and fearless, Quiana is on a mission to serve the overlooked, the underserved, and the underestimated across the United States.

In 2020, she launched Dear Black Girl—a trauma-informed, purpose-driven initiative created to help Black women heal, grow, and transform their lives. What began as a grassroots program has blossomed into a movement, now serving multiple cohorts and expanding into Atlanta. Through this work, Quiana is building a blueprint for healing and empowerment while also creating pathways for education—sending Black girls back to school, providing scholarships, and equipping them with the resources needed to thrive.

A certified life coach and published author, Quiana blends transparency, accountability, and heart in everything she does. Whether walking alongside women on their healing journeys or opening doors for the next generation, she leads with integrity and a deep belief that real change begins when we bloom from within.

Dear Black Girl is looking for someone like you...

Shadows

"Stand up straight and realize who you are, that you tower over your circumstances." - Maya Angelou

Our illustrious and fearless leader, Quiana Malone, connects with people in a way that is both rare and real—not because of a title or position, but because she has lived the very struggles she now helps others overcome. Her guiding moniker, “Nothing about me, without me,” reigns true. Once homeless, hopeless, formerly incarcerated, a teenage mother, and without faith, Quiana faced many of the same adversities she now addresses through her programs.

After spending five years running from the law and walking away from a 22-year sentence, she stood before a judge who gave her a choice: continue the work she had begun and never return to his courtroom—unless it was to serve others as he had chosen to serve her. That defining moment became a turning point, sparking the passion and purpose that fuel her mission today.

With a heart for service, Quiana doesn’t mind meeting people where they are—even in the trenches—without judgment. Her goal is simple yet powerful: to help create stepping stones that lead to milestones, reminding every Black girl and woman she serves that healing, wholeness, and success are within reach.
